Ethiopia’s Shure Demise (2:21:03) wins her 3rd TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon title as Kenya’s Leonard Langat (2:08:04 pb) wins men’s title

It was Demise’s first win since giving birth to a baby girl two years ago. Leonard Langat, who won Milan earlier this year in a 2:08:38 pb, broke away from a pack of six roughly four kilometres from the finish to win in a new pb of 2:08: Ben Flanagan (2:15:39) and Rachel Hannah (3:33:47) won the Canadian national titles.
