Festus Lagat files emergency CAS appeal; Lawyer: “ADAK is on a campaign to ruin the lives of many athletes”

His lawyer Paul Greene didn’t hold back, «It seems ADAK is on a campaign to ruin the lives of many athletes including Festus to try and show WADA it is tough on doping and avoid non-compliance but in the process they are the ones failing to follow the rules. Festus is innocent and we will fight for him to make sure he is exonerated…This is just scorched-earth, torching people trying to show that they’re tough so that WADA doesn’t find them non-compliant.» Lagat, an Iowa State alum who trains in Flagstaff with Dark Sky Distance, is appealing to CAS and hoping to have his provisional suspension lifted so he can compete for Kenya at World Indoors from March 20-22.
