RRW: Hellen Obiri, Sisay Lemma To Defend Boston Marathon Titles

Obiri will be going for her third consecutive win, something that hasn’t been done since Ethiopia’s Fatuma Roba from 1997 to 1999. She’ll face 17 sub-2:23 women including last year’s runner-up Sharon Lokedi, Aman Eriso (2:14:58) and Americans Keira D’Amato, Sara Hall and Emma Bates. On the men’s side, 2:01:48 man Lemma is up against two-time winner Evans Chebet (2:03:00), Chicago Marathon winner John Korir (2:02:44) and four of the top six from the US Marathon Trials in Conner Mantz, Clayton Young, C.J. Albertson, and Zach Panning.
