RRW: Puma Elite’s Alex Maier & Taylor Roe Spring Upsetes, Win USATF Half-Marathon Titles In Dramatic Fashion
It was a great morning for Amy and Alistair Cragg‘s Puma Elite Distance squad as their two Oklahoma State grads got the wins in races where spots at Worlds in San Diego were on the line. American record holder Weini Kelati had the lead early but stunning faded to 6th (69:07) while Olympians Joe Klecker (8th – 61:34), Clayton Young (13th – 62:38) and Dakotah Popehn (10th – 69:57) weren’t close to making the teams.
